The Easiest Way to Install a CCcam Line on Your Receiver

If you have just received your CCcam server details, you might be dreading the process of entering them into your satellite receiver. Typing out long domain names, port numbers, usernames, and passwords using a clunky TV remote is frustrating, and a single typo will prevent the line from working.

Thankfully, almost all modern satellite receivers (Ali3511, Sunplus, Tiger, Starsat, etc.) allow you to upload your server details instantly using a USB flash drive.

In this guide, we will show you exactly how to create a cccam.cfg file and upload it to your TV box in less than two minutes.

What You Will Need:

  1. A standard USB Flash Drive.
  2. A computer or laptop (Windows or Mac).

Step 1: Format Your USB Drive

For your satellite receiver to read the USB drive, it must be formatted correctly.

  1. Insert the USB drive into your computer.
  2. Open "My Computer" or "This PC".
  3. Right-click on your USB drive and select Format.
  4. Choose FAT32 as the File System and click Start. (Warning: This will erase everything currently on the USB drive).

Step 2: Create the cccam.cfg File

Now, we need to create the file that your receiver will read.

  1. Open a simple text editor on your computer (like Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on Mac).
  2. Paste your CCcam line into the blank document. It should look exactly like this: C: server.freeoscam.com 14000 yourusername yourpassword
  3. Click File > Save As.
  4. In the "Save as type" dropdown, select All Files.
  5. Name the file exactly cccam.cfg (Make sure it does not save as cccam.cfg.txt).
  6. Save this file directly onto your formatted USB drive.

Step 3: Upload the File to Your Satellite Receiver

Now it’s time to move to your TV.

  1. Plug the USB drive into the USB port of your satellite receiver.
  2. Turn on the receiver and press the Menu button on your remote.
  3. Navigate to the Network, Expansion, or Server settings (the exact name varies depending on your box brand).
  4. Look for an option that says Update from USB, Read CCcam.cfg, or USB Setup.
  5. Select the cccam.cfg file and press OK.
  6. The receiver will quickly load the details and may ask you to restart.

Step 4: Verify the Connection

Once the receiver reboots, go back to your Server Settings. You should now see your server details automatically filled in, and the status should say Connected or Working.

Congratulations! You have successfully installed your line without touching a single letter on your remote.
